Foreigner's Kelly Hansen talks band's Super Bowl remix 'Feels Like Halftime'

You've probably known for weeks that today is Super Bowl Sunday. To get everyone excited about the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, Pepsi teamed with classic rock band Foreigner to remix their hit song "Feels Like The First Time" into "Feels Like Halftime."

Foreigner's Kelly Hansen performs at Buffalo Wild Wings as part of a Pepsi promotion tied into the Super Bowl halftime show. The Super Bowl airs Sunday, February 2, 2014.

And since every song needs an audience, the band surprised patrons at a Buffalo Wild Wings establishment in New Jersey with an unexpected performance.

Foreigner's lead singer, Kelly Hansen, sat down with BFTV on Wednesday to talk about how the band signed on for the Pepsi promotion, what it actually takes to reshape a song, and his own thoughts on Super Bowl halftime entertainment.

He also told us if he ever gets tired of performing hit songs that have been popular for more than 20 years, and if we're not the only ones who sing along when "I Don't Know What Love Is" comes on the radio.

The Super Bowl halftime show features recent Grammy winner Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
