Foreigner is rock and rolling their way to Cincinnati’s Taft Theatre on Saturday, February 25 at 8 p.m.
Foreigner recently played at Riverbend Music Center last year in August with Journey and Night Ranger, but they return this time around to a more intimate setting. The band is currently in the midst of a rigorous winter/spring tour schedule that is expected to conclude mid-April. In addition to the Cincinnati stop, the band is playing for audiences in Orlando, Cleveland, Tucson, Reno and Fort Worth, among others.
During the tour, Foreigner will also make a headlining appearance before a crowd of about 140,000 at the NASCAR Samsung 500, which will be held at the Texas Motor Speedway on April 14.
Their live show promises audiences a collection of favorites from Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded and Urgent to Jukebox Hero, Waiting For A Girl Like You and I Want To Know What Love Is.
Foreigner’s latest album, Feels Like The First Time was released in September of 2011. The Billboard charting, three-disc set includes new digital studio recordings of their greatest hits, a DVD of their nationally broadcast PBS TV special and ‘Acoustique’, a CD featuring an unplugged, studio approach to some of their biggest songs. To date, the band has sold more than 70 million albums, worldwide.
Additionally, three of the band's songs will be featured in the upcoming movie Rock of Ages, which will be released in June. The film stars Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin, who will be singing some of Foreigner's best-loved songs.
The band’s summer 2011 tour with Journey broke records in several major cities as they played for hundreds of thousands of fans throughout Europe and North America. The band also plans to tour throughout the summer and those concert dates will be announced soon.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $35.50 to $62.50 (plus applicable fees.) VIP packages are also available. Taft Theatre is located at 317 East 5th Street, in downtown Cincinnati. For more information, visit www.ticketmaster.com.
