On the eve of the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show, Ford is pulling out all the stops with its debut of the 2011 Ford Fiesta. December 1 is the night Ford's fuel efficient car arrives on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show in Los Angeles. Ford wants the Fiesta to be known as the "expressive, fun and unique" automobile, so introducing it on the Kimmel show is going to add what Ford hopes will be a welcome reception.
The Fiesta will make its debut in one of Jimmy Kimmel's signature skits. Ford's first global car hopes to set a new world standard when it arrives at dealerships this summer. In the announcement that Ford made about Fiesta's debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the word "explosive" was used. It's not certain whether the car will set off fireworks in the audience but there the entrance of the 2011 Ford Fiesta will no doubt be unique.
For the past six months, 100 young trendsetters have been test driving and living with the European version of Fiesta in the United States. They have been traveling as "Fiesta agents" as part of the Fiesta Movement, posting online content about their experiences and their impressions of the car.

The Fiesta Movement has generated more than 6 million YouTube views, nearly 740,000 Flickr views and more than 3.7 million Twitter impressions.
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs at 12:05 ET on ABC. The Los Angeles Auto Show opens to the public on December 4, 2009.
