As All Hallows’ Eve nears, Ford is doing their part to make it a merry, scary Halloween by decking out a Ford F-150 in monster mode and making numerous stops at local dealers to collect costumes for the less fortunate kids in the community.

After an initial stop at the Punkin Chunkin event at Arapahoe Park Raceway last weekend the Costumes for Kids Ford will make the rounds of other local area Ford showrooms to continue the campaign.

“Denver Ford Dealerships are always looking for unique ways to get involved and give back to their communities,” said Christopher Thornton, Denver Regional Manager for Ford Motor Company. “Every kid deserves to get dressed up and have fun on Halloween and Costumes for Kids will help make that happen.”

Those who donate will get a certificate good for 20 percent off at all Halloween City stores, while kids in attendance can get their picture taken with the F-150 Monster truck and snack on donuts with cider.

Participating local Ford dealers and the YMCA of Metro Denver are working together to collect and distribute the costumes, which will be available October 23-24 at a location yet to be announced.

“We are very grateful for the partnership with Ford on this costume drive,” said Jim Hiner, President and CEO, YMCA of Metropolitan Denver. “We look forward to being able to help a number of children participate in Halloween this year with a new costume.”
