Following the large amount of controversy from the band, For Today's guitarist, Mike Reynolds over Tweets about "anti-homosexuality", the band posted via Facebook that Reynolds decided to leave the band to "enroll in bible college". The post is as follows and can also be read here:
"Mike Reynolds is no longer a part of For Today. He has decided that now is the time for he and his wife to put their plans in motion to enroll in bible college, and to begin working toward full-time missions work in the Middle East. Mike will be replaced by long-timefriend of the band, and former In The Midst of Lions guitar player, Sam Penner, who will be appearing with the band as they headline their upcoming FIght The Silence tour."
Vocalist, Mattie Montgomery also addresses in a video that can be viewed here that he apologizes for Reynolds actions and wishes those who were offended to talk to Montgomery personally through a phone conversation.
Among those who took Reynolds' outburst offensive include Enter Shikari frontman, Rou Reynolds, and many fans who took the Tweets so seriously, that they altogether stopped liking the band.
