For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (July 25 edition)

The final weekend for many shows, the opening weekend for a couple, and the opening and closing weekend for one. There are plenty of opportunities to see Louisville theatre at its finest this weekend, starting with a play regarding creative writing and the use of one's personal situations in The Bard's Town-presented Collected Stories. Also opening (and closing in the same weekend) is a show with fathers trying to play matchmaker by staging an abduction in The Fantasticks.

Four shows will be ending this weekend, including three of KY Shakespeare's runs. A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V, and Hamlet will have final performances this weekend. Meanwhile, Alley Theater's comedy Boeing Boeing will have its final boarding call as well. A Rodgers and Hammerstein musical from Hayswood Theatre, and a supercalifra...(you know the rest of the word) lady named Mary Poppins has her show continuing at Derby Dinner Playhouse into August.

Don't forget the auditions below, including one that takes place this weekend. Enjoy!
