"For the Love of Ray J" star admitted to psychiatric hospital

Monica “Danger” Leon, from Season 1 of VH1’s “For the Love of Ray J,” was reportedly placed on a “5150” psychiatric hold earlier this month after an argument with her infant daughter’s father prompted her to shave off her hair.

Media reports claim Leon had been having a rough time since the birth of her daughter in October, and might have been suffering from issues related to post-partum depression. An argument with her child’s father, fiancé Gabriel Cannon (brother of Nick), ended with her shaving her hair at some point thereafter, concerning those in her inner circle enough that they contacted a hospital. According to reports, Leon spent a week in a psychiatric hospital in Northern California placed on an involuntary hold, but her rep just told TMZ that Leon is now doing “fine.”

Fans of the popular reality show know Leon as “Danger,” where she sported a large tattoo on her face ala Mike Tyson and often displayed erratic, sometimes unstable behavior. When the first season ended, Leon (who didn’t win) was embroiled in a bit of controversy over her widely reported pregnancy that fueled speculation whether reality star Ray J – Kim Kardashian’s sex tape collaborator and younger brother of R&B singer Brandy – had actually fathered the child.

Leon has since confirmed she is engaged to Cannon, who is now presumed the father of her daughter.

Leon's rep asks “all of Danger's fans for support and prayer."
