It was the Summer of 2012 when I first wrote the story of Tulsa based musician Ace Eversole and his fight for life in search of a kidney donor. Months of dialysis, blood work all while traveling to the Mayo Clinic for endless amounts of tests in hopes of a miracle.
At a time when it hard to find the "feel good", (Given the most recent tragedies in our country and the grief that leaves us wondering why.) The Ace Eversole story is one that re-assures us that prayers are answered. The matching donor's doctors contacted Ace on the best possible day - His birthday February 14th ...When I spoke with Ace about the news he was on top of the world and grateful for new beginnings and a chance to keep on keepin' on. While the specifics are unknown as to when the procedure will take place. Rest assured this indeed the example of something we all need. "Living" proof that all you need is love.
