Are you Irish? Are you a beer fan? Do you enjoy a rambunctious crowd and beer spills under your feet when you go out? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Dillon's Irish Pub might just be the place for you. Located at 6263 Hollywood Blvd, Dillon's Irish Pub sits among the glitzy restaurants like Katsuya and Beso as well as all the hot Hollywood clubs like a beacon of normalcy for anyone looking to go out without all the spectacle.

I attended the Italian Fest in Hollywood this past weekend and after leaving, my girlfriends and I decided to get a drink before calling it a night. Seeing as we had just left a fair-like atmosphere in our t-shirts, jeans and flats; walking down Hollywood Blvd (on a Friday night nonetheless) made us all feel completely under dressed for the bar and club scenes we were passing. We reach Dillon's Irish Pub and were welcomed by the rowdy, high spirited crowd inside with ease. The place was packed to say the least, and the bar-goers attire ranged from the scantily clad to the regular jeans and T's.

Dillon's Irish Pub is dimly lit and offers cozy leather booths or sturdy wooden tables and chairs. It's set up to feel very loungy on the main floor and more sports-bar-like upstairs. The main bar itself had that all-too familiar "Cheers" look to it, however, instead of "Carla" at the bar, there is about a half dozen bartending girls dressed in festive Irish skirts and knee socks.

We all partook in their very popular EVERYDAY promotion of $3 drafts on tap and my goodness what a selection they have to chose from! From the very generic Budweiser to hearty wheat beers to even beers that are gluten-free, Dillon's Irish Pub has it on tap.

We took our beers and wandered upstairs where after just a few minutes of waiting, we snagged a table among the T.V's and pool tables. It was a great spot to people-watch as well as catch up with friends. Although it had never been our plan to eat, the menu offered such great appetizers at even better prices we opted to try a few ourselves. Dillon's Irish Pub's menu varies from the traditional bar food like ultimate nachos and chicken tenders, also offering dishes such as the Asian lettuce wraps, flame-roasted artichokes and tuna tartar. Everything was deliciously made and served in a prompt, yet friendly manner.

The service, the food, the drinks and atmosphere all received an A+ in my book and I will most definitely be returning. Dillon's Irish Pub is great place to try out for a low-key dinner, an impromptu drink after work, a casual yet fun and crowded night out or even a place to watch Monday night football. So, get your gang together and give it a try this week!
