Denver Karma is a great place to start if you are looking for ways to get involved and give back to the Denver community. Denver Karma started out as a project by several University of Denver MBA students.
According to the website:
Denver Karma is designed to raise awareness among young professional regarding the importance of service, as well as providing them with opportunities for service. Denver Karma has partnered with 11 non-profit organizations throughout the Denver area; all of which fall under one of the four key community gaps impacting Denver: Youth Education and Mentoring, Health, Arts and Recreation, and Homelessness and Poverty, and parallel many of Mayor John Hickenlooper’s service initiatives.
By signing up with Denver Karma, we hope to match each non-profit with individuals who hold a strong interest in the cause. However, it is not enough to simply sign up; we hope each individual recognizes the importance of service, sees a need in their community, and takes action!
