Playoff football, is there anything better?
When the Indianapolis Colts face the Ravens in Baltimore today, a set of two stellar storylines faces off with one another.
The two teams have a hated rivalry against one another, with the Colts moving out of Baltimore under the cover of darkness in 1984, but beyond that, each one is interesting in their own right.
Ravens all-world linebacker Ray Lewis has announced this will be his final playoff run, which means Baltimore will be even more hyped than usual to not only win today, but win four straight games and a Super Bowl for their leader.
The Colts have their own reason to be extra pumped, with head coach Chuck Pagano emotionally returning last week from his battle with cancer. Indy controlled throughout against the Texans in Houston last Sunday, while Baltimore lost in Cincinnati by six points.
It's the battle of youth versus experience, giving the Ravens a pregame advantage. Baltimore boasts many veterans, most of which have multiple years of playoff experience, while the Colts are led by rookie quarterback Andrew Luck and his rookie teammates Vick Ballard and T.Y. Hilton.
Of course, if the Colts win, it would pit Peyton Manning against his former team, giving the 15-year veteran a chance to exact revenge on the team after they cut him earlier this year.
And if it's Baltimore, the Broncos as a team can take their revenge after losing their only meeting 21-3 to the Ravens in the 2000 Wildcard round.
Indianapolis versus Baltimore is set for an 11 a.m. MT kickoff and can be seen on CBS.
The Broncos' Divisional round playoff game is set for Saturday January 20, with a 2:30 p.m. MT kickoff in Denver's Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.
