For Cynthia McKinney, America should be like Libya

A video posted Tuesday at The Blaze shows former Georgia Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney showering praise on Libya while attacking the United States - on Libyan television.

According to McKinney, America stinks because the nation does not have free health care or free education.

"So the politics in the U.S. right now is around health care issues," she said, adding "it is around education issues."

She lamented that people in the U.S. are losing their homes while "the government of Libya is building homes for people."

The inference here is clear - to McKinney, it is the governments job to provide all the daily needs of all the citizens - be it housing, food, health care or education.  And everything should be free.

This, to McKinney, is "an economy, a country on the rise."

Worse yet, she said Libya - under the brutal dictatorship of Moammar Khaddafi - is "setting the appropriate leadership model."

Apparently, McKinney thinks the United States should become a dictatorship - just like Libya - so that all Americans can have the same wonderful life that Libyans do.

But McKinney, like so many of her fellow travelers on the left, lives in a fantasy world where unicorns happily flit from cloud to cloud bestowing chocolately goodness upon one and all.  In her upside-down world, things like energy, jobs, homes and medicines come about not by hard work and private capital, but by socialist policies mixed with liberal doses of magic fairy pixie dust (pun intended).

McKinney is either clueless to the fact that she is being used as a propaganda tool by the Libyan regime, or she is deliberately letting herself be used by Khaddafi.

Considering that she went to the war torn nation in May to show support for Khaddafi, it is safe to say she is deliberately letting herself be used.

"I think that it's very important that people understand what is happening here. And it's important that people all over the world see the truth. And that is why I am here ... to understand the truth," she said in a live interview on Libyan state television.
