Starting today, April 17, through Sept. 15, 2014, guests visiting Epcot at Walt Disney World in Florida can stay after hours to enjoy additional food and beverage treats during Disney's After Hours Wind Down. Just think; instead of dealing with the massive crush to get to the buses or monorail when the park closes, you and your party can stop in at one of the pavilions in World Showcase and participate in an exclusive event to relax and enjoy the evening before heading back to your room.
Participating guests will need to make a reservation in advance for the pavilion of their choice and will get a beverage and selection of light snacks for a fee of $35 per person (not including tax and gratuity). Additional beverages may also be purchased. Not every venue in World Showcase will be open, however. Guests may choose from one of the following:
- La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico pavilion
- Spice Road Table at the Morocco pavilion
- Tutto Gusto at the Italy pavilion
- Rose and Crown Pub at the United Kingdom pavilion
Each event will last until from the moment the fireworks and laser show Illuminations ends, around 9:20 P.M., until 11 P.M. when all remaining park guests will be asked to leave. The After Hours Wind Down events are designed for those who want to take a moment at the end of their day and unwind. Then, after all the other park guests have left, participating guests can catch their bus or monorail back to their hotel without the rush or crowds.
Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by visiting www.disneyworld.com/spring, calling (407) WDW-DINE, or by talking to your concierge at your Disney Resort Hotel. Guests will be issued a ticket with each purchase which will be needed to gain access to the venues mentioned above once Illuminations is over. There is limited seating for each participating pavilion so be sure to book your tickets ahead of time.
No word yet if this event will continue after Sept. 15, 2014.
