Seasoned Ham Loaf
- 2 lbs. lean ground ham
- 1/2 lb. ground veal
- 1/2 lb. lean ground pork
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. half & half
- 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Place garlic in half & half, let stand for 1 hour; remove garlic. In large bowl combine ham, veal, pork, eggs, bread crumbs and black pepper, shape into a loaf and place into a prepared baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/2 hours uncovered.
In saucepan warm 1/2 c. vinegar and dissolve one chicken bouillon cube. Cream together 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 c. mustard and 1/4 c. softened butter and stir into vinegar mixture. In a small bowl beat together 1 tablespoon flour and 2 eggs. While stirring vinegar mixture slowly mix in flour & eggs mixture over low heat until thickened. Served with ham loaf.
