Six nations have announced their 21-player squads for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014, with many more to come before the tournament officially kicks off on Aug. 5.
England was the first to announce its squad on July 1 and was followed in recent days by Germany, New Zealand, Costa Rica and Finland.
Host Canada announced its squad on July 16 in Vaughan, ON, after which players took a media tour throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Coach Andrew Olivieri and all 21 players attended the live selection event. Former Canadian international and current National Organizing Committee executive member Clare Rustad was served as the event's emcee.
Canada’s team features a number of players who have international experience at both the national and youth levels, including Kadeisha Buchanan, Jessie Fleming, Ashley Lawrence, Rebecca Quinn and Sura Yekka who all recently featured with the big team on June 18.
The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Canada 2014 runs Aug. 5-24 in Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and Moncton.

CANADA 2015 TO OFFER STADIUM PASSPORTS FOR ALL VENUES
Tickets to the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015 will go on sale Sept. 10, with the initial phase to offer Stadium Passports that feature tickets for every match at a particular Official Host City.
Each Stadium Passport applies only to the Official Host City and stadium selected. For fans who want the Stadium Passport experience, but can’t attend all the matches, a Stadium Half Pass will be available for Vancouver, Edmonton and Montreal.
Stadium Passport or Stadium Half Pass purchasers will also have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 championship final at BC Place on July 5, 2015 (subject to availability with no discounts).
