Join Foothills Animal Shelter with a special event for the public at Founder’s Park in Lakewood. The Dog (and Cat!) Days of Summer is this Saturday, June 21, starting at 9 AM.
Foothills will have a full service vaccination, license and microchip clinic for dogs and cats too. Bring your pet for updated shots and licenses and get a microchip if your pet needs one. There will also be coffee, music and giveaways as well as adorable adoptable pets from the shelter.
Vaccinations are only $15 per shot and include Rabies and Distemper/Panleukopenia for cats and Rabies, CIV, Distremper/Parvo and Bordetella for dogs. Pet parents who provide written proof of a previous Rabies vaccine (the certificate, not just the tag) are eligible for the 3-year Rabies vaccine. Microchips are $35 and are available for both dogs and cats. Licenses for dogs and cats are $15 for spay/neutered animals and $30 for unaltered pets. Dog and cat licenses fees go to Foothills Animal Shelter to help the shelter put on public programs such as this and for the animals in the shelter’s care. To learn more about the clinic and costs, visit the shelter's website. To ensure safety, bring all dogs on a leash and all cats in a carrier.
Belmar's Founders Park is at South Teller and Virginia (500 S. Teller) in the Belmar shopping district of Lakewood, near the intersection of Wadsworth and Alameda. The event will be held from 9 to 11 AM.
