World Spay Day is Tuesday, February 28, and to help promote the importance of pet spays and neuters Foothills Animal Shelter is having a special Spay Day clinic with a little help from their friends at KS 107.5.
Foothills Animal Shelter provides low-cost spay and neuter surgeries to the public to help prevent pet overpopulation while promoting animal health. All surgeries are by appointment. Foothills recommends pets be at least 16 weeks (4 months) old and no more than five years old for surgery. Puppies and kittens should be fully vaccinated before surgery, but if not, vaccines can be given at the time of the surgery for an additional charge. Dogs need to be less than 65 pounds.
Normally dog spays are $75 and dog neuters are $65. Cat spays and neuters are only $40. However, just for World Spay Day, radio station KS 107.5 is promoting a special Spay Day discount. To find out what the discount is and how to get it, listen to KS 107.5 morning show. On Spay Day, February 28, KS 107.5 Morning Show DJ’s Larry Ulibarri, Kendall B and Kathie J will have a meet and greet at the shelter from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For pet parents interested in getting their pets spayed or neutered, call 720-407-5215 to schedule an appointment and to get in on the special Spay Day discount, listen to the KS 107.5 Morning Show from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
