Foods that fight inflammation might help reduce pain and discomfort (Video)

While adding foods that are thought to fight inflammation to the daily menu is a start, it has also been recommended that foods causing inflammation should be eliminated.

The reasons to eliminate foods that cause inflammation are many. Most people who suffer from arthritis, lupus or any other type of inflammatory response may want to do this, just in case the research is correct.

Doctors usually suggest lifestyle changes to improve health when it comes to many illnesses that cause inflammation. However, some patients live the same as they did before being diagnosed with what is controlling their life even when given the facts, so they continue to suffer with inflammation.

The doctors who are frustrated by those who do not eliminate foods that cause inflammation may want to scream-“If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.”

Foods that help eliminate inflammation include olive oil, avocados, nuts, turmeric, onions, ginger, garlic and more. More details are listed on the Mayo Clinic site.

Orange fruits and vegetables are an important part of an effort to reduce inflammation. Also, dark green vegetables are included, such as spinach.

Foods that might contribute to the inflammation many are dealing with include soft drinks, processed meats, fast foods, dairy, gluten and packaged foods filled with artificial ingredients.

When it comes to dairy, many find quality yogurt products help them achieve the bacteria balance needed. Those who want to avoid dairy can add supplements to their diet to gain the benefits of the bacteria found in yogurt.

Those not convinced that eating foods to fight inflammation will work for them may want to try changing their diet for three days or so to feel the difference. It may be true that a certain food won’t bother one person while it creates inflammation for others.
