Food trucks bring us a moveable feast

Food trucks are fun, mobile culinary adventures on wheels and San Antonio has several locations across town to enjoy the casual dining. Here are two examples.

Boardwalk on Bulverde was the first in the city and has an average of 7 to 10 food trucks.

The Block SA is near UTSA main campus and has over an acre of space plus a patio bar.

There is also special culinary event coming on May 15, 2014 sponsored by Culinaria called the Food Truck Event. So mark your calendars. HEB is presenting this evening feast from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the HEB Alon Market located at 10003 NW Military Hwy. Tickets in advance are $10 for over 21 age and $5 for under 21 age. The cost will cover admission and drinks and then your food menu is sold separately. Bring a folding chair and enjoy the outdoor movie or shop from the vendor row. This is a family fun event plus adults can enjoy the wine and beer selection.

Culinaria is a non-profit organization that promotes San Antonio wine and food and supports local students and chefs. There are many events during the year with an annual festival in May.
