The growing support for food trucks will be shown to good advantage in the upcoming "Food Truck Showcase Of Upstate New York" event.

The organizers of the season's inaugural event, scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in Saratoga Springs, promise at least 10 trucks, and have made the names of some known. The venue will be the Saratoga Eagles Club at 373 Crescent Avenue. The showcase will be held rain or shine, and include live music from the High Peaks Band and Middle Grove. There is no admission fee. Further details are available on the event's Facebook page or by calling (518) 583-465.

The Food Truck Showcase also will be held on an ongoing basis at several venues from May through September: From 5 to 9 p.m. every second Wednesday at the Lakeside Farms Cider Mill in Ballston Lake; from 5 to 9 p.m. every third Wednesday at the Schmaltz Brewing Company on Ushers Road in Clifton Park.
