This time of year is famous for rich culinary delights, and one can be found at your local Fresh Market store, two of which are located here in Knoxville.  Their Jersey-cows milk line is fantastic-quality milk across the board, and sitting like a decadent crown jewel in that lineup is their double cream white chocolate milk product.

Chocolate milk has been around for a long time and is quite popular, and yet the idea of white chocolate milk seems almost inspired.  Combining that tempting flavor combination with the heavy richness of double cream, giving it a higher fat content than half-and-half when measured ounce for ounce, is a stroke of genius.  This stuff tastes like a big bottle of melted ice cream.  If that's too rich for you, you can follow the advice of a local Fresh Market employee: "Just mix in a little regular 'moo,' and you're good to go."

Two personal favorite uses are to pour it over warm chocolate brownies and to make a heavy, almost sinful white chocolate mocca latte by gently warming it, frothing it (in your blender or with a frothing wand), and pouring it into some hot espresso, though it's every bit as great in regular coffee too.

Buy it locally! Both Knoxville locations of The Fresh Market are on Kingston Pike, one in Western Plaza and the other in Farragut.  You can read more about the author's personal take on this product on his personal blog: The Untrained Gourmet.  As it seems to be a seasonal item, do try to go out and get this before the weather starts to warm up again!
