The Cheesecake Factory's Bistro Shrimp Pasta has made the Center for Science in the Public Interest's list of food porn. According to a report dated Jan. 16 by the Chicago Tribune, this dish has 3,120 calories.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest is a nonprofit group that focuses on consumers and promoting healthy eating. Each year they create a list of food porn so consumers will know the amount of calories, sugar, sodium and saturated fat in restaurants.
The Cheesecake Factory's Bistro Shrimp Pasta has more than 36 hours of calories, based on the recommended caloric intake for an adult. It is one of the most unhealthy dishes in chain restaurants in the United States.
The Bistro Shrimp Pasta isn't the only dish from the Cheesecake Factory to make the food porn list. Their Crispy Chicken Costoletta also made the list. It has 2,610 calories, which is about the same amount of calories as a bucket of KFC Original Recipe fried chicken.
Porn is available in all sorts of ways. Whether it is food porn or “solo porn from Nadya Suleman, the Octomom, porn has a way of brining itself into the spotlight. Unlike Octomom, it is unlikely the Cheesecake Factory will be winning any awards for their food porn.
