Food porn frenzy forbidden by famous French chefs

Food porn sounds scandalous, no? Repositioning your freshly microwaved bowl of Easy Mac so it looks more appealing and voluptuous to the eye. Well, French chefs say food porn may be prohibited in their restaurants.

French chefs, like Giles Goujon from the L’Auberge du Vieux Puits, agree that food porn detracts from the meticulous meal they’ve prepared, in an article published by the Agence France Presse.

Amateur images, edited on free apps like Instagram, can ruin the surprise for diners, and leave food porn idealists from eating a fresh, hot entrée. French chefs are not the only disinterested individuals, food bloggers are also weighing in on the issue.

Amateur Food Porn Has Got To Stop, is the name of a blog that collects amateur photographers' shared images of food porn, mostly found on social media. The images displayed look so incredibly grotesque that often times the viewers have no clue what is being photographed, or consumed for that matter.

What will happen next will be up to the dining venue. There might be a verbal warning of the deterrence of taking photos of food items, or even a warning on the bottom of a menu. Until then, snap and stare at all food porn produced!
