The five remaining Food Network Star finalists appeared on The Rachael Ray Show on July 25, 2014. The finalists were given a viewer food dilemma to solve. Each finalist had three-and-a-half minutes to show the viewer a solution to their particular problem.

Sarah's viewer was a mother with children who frequently ate at different times. Sarah showed her how to make a hearty taco soup children love. The soup could be frozen into individual portions.

Luca's viewer was a mother with children who did not like to eat vegetables. He showed her how to make a risotto using cauliflower instead of rice topped with a meat sauce. Her two children refused to try the finished dish.

Loreal's viewers were newlyweds. They were looking for ideas for healthy meals that were quick to make. She showed them how to make a chicken breast filled with sausage, vegetables, and cheese. The dish was complicated and didn't meet their needs.

Lenny's viewers were looking for inexpensive meals to make. He showed them how to make a meal using chicken thighs, vegetables, homegrown herbs, and rice. Later, Lenny revealed that his pants split during the segment when he bent over to put a pan in the oven.

Nicole's viewers were a family stuck in a meat and potato rut. She showed them how to make a meal using frozen shrimp. Unfortunately, one of the children spit it out because it was too spicy.

At the end of the Food Network Star episode that originally aired July 27, judges Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis, and Alton Brown decided to eliminate Loreal. Loreal referred to herself as "The Butcher Babe."

In St. Paul, The Rachael Ray Show can be seen weekdays at 1:00 p.m. on KARE 11. The next Food Network Star episode will air August 3 on the Food Network at 8:00 p.m. central. The winner of the season 10 Food Network Star will get their own Food Network show.
