A massive food fight at a Whataburger in San Antonio, Texas led to the restaurant being shut down for a short time, according to Yahoo! Sports on Sept. 25. It seems the fight was started as rival sports fans butted heads.
Two San Antonio teams, from Brandies High and O'Connor High, faced off and the rivalry carried over to the fast food restaurant after the game. It seems the food fight at Whataburger lasted only about 30 seconds, but left an enormous mess.
School officials have indicated they will take a look at video footage from the fight and dish out consequences to those responsible. The restaurant, however, said it thinks the food fight was a misunderstanding and they're not looking for anyone to be in big trouble.
KENS 5 indicates that some of the students involved in the Whataburger food fight returned to the restaurant to apologize. The video at Yahoo! Shows that the food fight at Whataburger was indeed a massive breakout of flying buns and burgers, and some would say the students are quite lucky they aren't in serious trouble.
There has been an investigation underway, but it seems in this case the students involved in the food fight at Whataburger will have the opportunity to learn a lesson without any major punishments.
