No more hints, no more teasing, the new Foo Fighters album is officially done! Master music producer, Butch Vig, took to his Twitter account earlier today to announce the record is complete, "We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album. 23 straight days mixing! IT's EPIC!!!" It feels epic, a monumental build-up of anticipation that has been steadily growing.
The Foo Fighters set the wheels in motion when they announced in early 2013 their plans for a new album, then, little by little more details started to emerge and before we knew it the band had hit the ground running hard, recording in eight different studios spread out across eight different states. And that's not all, we learned the unique recording process would be chronicled for an HBO series entitled, "Sonic Highways."
Dave Grohl's passion for music is wildly infectious and strikes a chord with every music lover down to the core. It's impossible not to get pumped up whenever Grohl shares his journey with us, because it's a journey from the heart. The Foo Fighters frontman so effortlessly rendered his love for music into his inspirational documentary, "Sound CIty," the historical recording studio in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. People wonder about Dave Grohl and what makes him so great, because he's real, it's that simple.
The Foo Fighters eighth studio album will be released in November, for now, you can view the official trailer for "Sonic Highways" above.
