Coachella's got nothing on this year's lineup for the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware this summer. It was announced today, which just happens to be Dave Grohl's birthday, that the Foo Fighters along with the newly reunited Outcast and Jack Johnson will headline the state's largest music festival ever held.
The festival, which runs June 19-22, and is known as "The East Coast's Premier Music Experience," released its 100 plus musical act line-up including, Arctic Monkey's, Weezer, Band of Horses, Cage the Elephant, Young the Giant and Jake Bugg.
With so many festivals and their enormous mix of line-ups, many of the bands become lost in the parade of acts and the experience might deem underwhelming. The Firefly Festival is a tight list of bands that centers on rock-heavy performances and the Foo Fighters playing will only add clout to the ever growing event.
Four-day general admission passes will go for $249 and are on sale Monday, you can check out the full line-up here.
This announcement is most likely the start of more to come from the Foo Fighters this year, stay tuned!
