On March 19, 2013, Fort Myers Film Festival announced that they will be having an opening gala screening of "When I Walk" in Fort Myers, Fla. at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall.
The screening will be on Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 5:30 for pre-screening drinks and mingling.
FMff's third annual festival will be held March 21-24.
At the FMff gala there will be a documentary about filmmaker Jason DaSilva and his life with multiple sclerosis. Dare to be touched by DaSilva's video journal below.
"MS affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other effectively. With MS, the body's own immune system attacks and damages the myelin. When myelin is lost, the axons can no longer effectively conduct signals." - Wiki
The film had four sold-out screenings at Sundance Film Festival and received standing ovations!
FMff is proud to say that they would put their mix of international and local films up against any film festival in the world.
"This is your film festival SW Florida. Come be a part of it!
