Flying 101: Which airports serve the Vero Beach area?

You have your beachside vacation to Vero Beach planned and are now ready to book your flight. But which airport do you choose? That is entirely up to you, your budget and how long you want to travel once you land. Each airport that serves the Vero Beach area has both pros and cons. Some are over one hour away, others are right in the center of town. However, the smaller the airport, the higher the cost of flying will be.

So, which airports serve the Vero Beach area? Let’s take a look.

Vero Beach Municipal Airport

The Vero Beach Municipal Airport is located in the heart of the town. Melbourne International Airport

The Melbourne International Airport is located just 30 minutes north of Vero Beach. This airport offers multiple flights per day, but unlike its neighboring airports, only has a select few airlines flying in and out. The Orlando International Airport is located approximately 90 minutes from the Indian River County area. (Toward the Northwest.) Located 90 minutes from Indian River County (in the other direction…south) is the Palm Beach International Airport.
