Flyers enforcer Jay Rosehill drops Bruins' Shawn Thornton with left hook

Jay Rosehill re-entered the Flyers lineup Saturday against the Bruins after a 12-game absence.

He made his presence known as he tied the game for the Flyers in the second period on a beautiful finish after a good feed from Michael Raffl. Rosehill got the puck down near the goal line and quickly spun around and beat Tuukka Rask with a wrist-shot.

That wasn’t Rosehill’s only contribution to the game. In the first period, Rosehill dropped the gloves with Bruins enforcer Shawn Thornton. It was Rosehill’s 10th fighting major of the season and he made it worthwhile catching Thornton with a few left hands that dropped him to the ice.

Rosehill has now fought in four of his last five games. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.
