Floyd Mayweather wins $81,000 on the Thunder’s victory over the Clippers (Photos)

On Tuesday night, Jan. 22, a huge game took place in the NBA for bragging rights in regards to the league’s best record.

In what may serve as a preview of a playoff match in a few months, Kevin Durant and the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder invaded the Staples Center in Los Angeles, thwarting the Clippers by a score of 109-97.

Led by Durant’s 32 points and seven rebounds, the Thunder pulled away in the second half against a depleted Clippers team that was without their floor general Chris Paul.

The Thunder see their NBA-best record rise to 33-9 while the Clippers fall to 32-11.

With such a meaningful game taking place, it wasn’t a surprise that Staples Center regular Floyd Mayweather was in the building.

Following the contest, the undefeated pound for pound stalwart took to his personal Instagram account, where he updated his followers on his winnings from the game.

“Sat court side tonight to watch The Durant & Westbrook Show while winning an easy $81,000,” Mayweather claimed, showing off a ticket of his wager.

Mayweather is slated for a May 4th return of his own, where he will put his 43-0 (26 KO’s) record on the line against an opponent to be named at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
