The world of boxing has experienced its pros and cons of a sport that so many has grown to like or simply has become obsessed with in many ways. If you ask any true fan of the sport which fight is the most anticipated fight that can be made today; chances are the answer will be Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

It’s been called many things: The Super Fight, The Dream Match, The Mega-Fight and Fight of the Century among others.

As complicated as this matchup has been over the years to make a reality, negotiations are now as close as they’ve ever been. According to Danny Buenafe of ABS-CBN News, this fight has finally found a savior. Once the super powers abroad realized the magnitude and value of this mega-fight they immediately jumped on board.

The Royal Family and President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Nahyan of the United Arab Emirites (UAE) allowed Prince Amir Shafipour to privately start negotiations with a major boxing promoter here in the United States with intentions to host this big event in Dubai. Prince Shafipour who is no stranger to promoting and hosting big events has made it clear that he's in connection with the right people and have more money than he needs to make this fight happen.

Shafipour said, "Those previously involved has not approached this event the right way and because of that, it hasn't happened. He said, with all of his worldwide connections and his experience in promoting huge events, he's definitely the missing piece that will make this fight a reality." He will not reveal who his connection is here in the U.S. but says he's tied to both camps.

Rumors have started to surfaced that it's already a done deal. The entities involved are just ironing out the small wrinkles before contracts are signed. Is this event finally about to happen? This news should serve as sweet music to the ears of those who has patiently been waiting. Well, when it comes to this fight—the whole world waits.

Mayweather has already reserved September 13, 2014 for his next bout. Apparently, the location is yet to be determined or has it? Dubai maybe.

There are also talks that Mayweather and Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions is entertaining the thought of giving former welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (35-4, 32 KO's) a rematch. Back on May 3, the Argentinean fighter gave undefeated pound for pound king Mayweather (46-0, 27 KO's) problems in the first four rounds of that fight with a rugged and brutal attack from all angles. His fight plan ignited extreme pleasure from his fan base.

In the eyes of many who observed the fight most agreed how well the astute Mayweather made adjustments and took over the fight from round five through twelve. The judges at ringside scored it 117-111, 116-112 and 114-114. It was a majority decision win for Mayweather, but because of Maidana's relentless effort in the fight, a rematch is highly considered, said Team Mayweather.

MOVE OVER MAIDANA - HERE COMES PACQUIAO

It's no secret that Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KO's) recently signed a new contract extension with promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank that will succeed through the end of 2016. Although, there is still skepticism on the behalf of Mayweather's bad relationship with Arum, Prince Shafipour feels very optimistic about closing the deal. Generally, money is usually the antidote that cures the worst of arguments and disagreements in the minds of most. The prince knows that formula all too well.

Prince Shafipour represents Golden Cage Events and Promotions who was given credit for the huge success of Global Fighting Championship held in Dubai according to writer Buenafe. Many alike know this bout between the two biggest icons in boxing has been one of the most complicated match-ups in recent years to bring together.

It has been said by this writer, written in a previous article, "If it was a fruit, it would have fallen off the tree already. It can only get so ripe." By now let's try the word rotten. This fight has fell through on many occasions whether it is drug testing, promoter differences, who gets the lion share of profits or I'm calling all the shots. There are many who still feel that Mayweather's fear of losing has prolonged this fight. It has been that back and forth trash talk that's kept this mega-event from happening.

Promoter Prince Amir Shafipour has the support of The President and the Royal Family of one of the richest cities along side its neighbor Abu Dhabi which is considered the richest city in the world. Both are located on the Persian Gulf Coast and now making strides to becoming a world leader in hosting huge sporting events. Dubai is going all out by putting all the chips on the table to make this mega-fight a reality.

Let's see this time if—Money talks.
