Listed below is the report for Sunday Jan. 27, 2013 evening edition. The reports are generated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and again from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. on a daily basis. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Floyd County Sheriff's Office.
The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the links to view prior arrests and/or additional details.
Michael Lynn Ayers, 37, of Rome was arrested by Floyd County Police Officer Henry and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and failure to maintain lane.
Terry Wayne Burgess, 45, of Adairsville was arrested by Floyd City Police Officer Bowden on warrants charging him with auto theft and probation violation.
John Clifford Carter, 46, of Calhoun was arrested by Rome City Police Officer Bowden on warrants charging him with auto theft and probation violation.
Devante Jamal Daniels, 29, of Rome was arrested on a warrant for felony probation violation.
Lativia Sherelle Dudley, 37, of Cartersville was arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor probation violation.
Marcus Dewayne Ragland, 21, of Rome was arrested by Rome City police Officer Smith and charged with theft by taking and a warrant for probation violation.
Thomas Chuck Swan, 44, of Aragon was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court regarding child support.
David Roy Weems III, 32, of Rome was arrested by Floyd County Police Officer Johnson and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects.
Arrest reports do not reflect the guilt or innocence of the individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest/charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or acquittal is determined by the court system.
