Listed below is the report for Friday Jan. 25, 2013 morning edition and also contains some arrests from Thursday evening.. The reports are generated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and again from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. on a daily basis. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Floyd County Sheriff's Office.
The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the links to view prior arrests and/or additional details.
Jasper Ferguson, 53, of Rome was arrested on 1/24 by Rome Police Officer Hovers and charged with simple battery and parole violation.
Earl Dewayne Mathis, 43, of Silver Creek was arrested on 1/24 by Floyd County Police Officer Corbin and charged with two counts of unlawful conduct during a 911 call (contacts 911 for purpose of annoying, harassing a 911 officer or disrupting, interfering with emergency phone service.
Harrison M. McDurmond, 52, of Silver Creek was arrested today by Floyd County Police Officer Mitchell and charged with third degree cruelty to children under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA). McDurmond remains in custody at the time of this publication.
Thecla Nshimiye, 23, of Rome was arrested today by Rome City Police Officer Cantrell and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain lane and expired tag.
Mary Kathaleen Russell, 44, of Rome was arrested today and charged with giving false information to a law enforcement officer and a warrant issued out of Bartow County.
Anthony Lamar Wade Jr., 34, of Rome was arrested today by Rome City Police Officer Hovers and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Arrest reports do not reflect the guilt or innocence of the individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest/charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or acquittal is determined by the court system.
