Flower of Life to hostTai Chi class at Stone Haven Free Methodist Church

Bright Blessings.

This Saturday, join the Flower of Life Center for Human Revolution at Stone Haven Free Methodist Church located at 1349 West Wattles Road, in Troy for Tai Chi. Jeff Smith, former president of the Hai Gui Tai Chi group at OCC in Royal Oak, will be teaching the open hand Yang form. Class begins at 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.

Tai Chi, or more properly T'ai chi ch'uan, is a popular internal martial art that focuses on healing the inner being. The founder of the Yang-style was Yang Lu-ch'an. There are two versions, the short and long form. These can be found all over the world.

The initial portion of the class will last for about 1 1/2 hours, and be open to all levels of skill - including beginners. The last half hour is for those who are more advanced. All are welcome.

The manner of dress should be comfortable to facilitate ease of movement. The group has asked that the following dress code be observed:

"Full T-shirt with no midriff showing.
Pant legs past the knees.
All clothing fully intact with out large holes and self-sustaining around the waist."

The energy that moves through the body, or the qi, is what is being used here. It flows and energizes the flow of life. It is the same flow that acupuncture works toward manipulating.

Try something new for you and consider attending.

Blessed Be.
