Towards the end of the cool season, there is a big floral festival in Chiang Mai which is located about 400 miles (640 km) North of Bangkok Thailand. This year this festival is going to be held from February 7th through 9th according to Wikipedia.
The city of Chiang Mai is close to the border between Thailand, Burma and Laos. This area used to be called “Golden Triangle” . During the festival period, you can find gorgeous displays of yellow and white chrysanthemums and the damask Rose as well as the pink and purplish Dendrobium orchids and the yellow Daoruang. The real focus of this Chiang Mai festival is the public garden of Suan Buak Haad on the south-western corner of the moat.
