Authorities have arrested a Florida woman for calling in a fake bomb threat nearly two years ago against a Carnival Cruise Ship.
Linda Wilson, 44, of Baldwin, Florida, was arrested on a federal warrant, according to US Attorneys in the Sunshine State.
The ship was the 2,052 passenger Carnival Fascination, which was returning to Jacksonville in May of 2010.
Charges against her include reporting false information to law enforcement. She faces up to five years in prison if convicted. The indictment states that in May of 2010, Wilson called the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office claiming information about a bomb that was going to explode on the ship.
Participating in the investigation were the Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection and FBI.
So far, no indication has been given as to why Wilson would have called in the bomb threat.
