According to Thursday's CBS 12 News, a Boynton Beach, Fla., woman was arrested after police discovered that her dog's muzzle had been bound in duct-tape and he was confined to a filthy, urine and feces-filled cage on the balcony of her apartment.
Two weeks ago, thanks to a tip from a concerned passerby, sheriff's deputies were able to rescue the abused pit bull and arrest his owner, 29-year-old Andrea Curiel, at the Heron Pointe Apartments.
Cureal is facing a charge of animal cruelty - her dog was taken to the Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control.
The dog will be put up for adoption.
