The Florida unemployment rate for November reached a low of 6.4 percent, according to a statement released by the Office of Governor Rick Scott on December 20. Florida gained 6,000 private sector jobs in November 2013 and saw an annual growth rate of 2.5 percent in October and November 2013, according to the statement from the Office of Governor Rick Scott.

"I am very glad that the employment rate is improving. When more people get back to work, that means more money and more success for all of us," said Diane Holman.

"This is wonderful especially around Christmas. This means more people are working, more people are getting a paycheck and everyone is doing better," said Steven Little.
