A Florida man supposedly murdered his wife because she did not prepare him a hamburger.
Bartolo Gelsomino, 78, actually gave “a video-taped confession to the murder of Ana Gelsomino, 71, his wife of 52 years.” Then he led authorities to the murder weapon and his bloodied clothes, said the Daily News.
This Sicily-born man was arrested on Jan. 21 after his daughter discovered Ana’s body. The 71-year-old woman was “lying in a pool of blood inside the couple’s Miami home,” according to police.
Their daughter told CBS Miami that their dad was controlling. "That day it was a hamburger, another day it was eggs…Another day the water was too cold or too hot. It didn't matter, anything that wasn't right or didn't feel right, he used it to control my mother."
Now this daughter wants justice for her mother. She said Ana was her closest friend and that she lived to take care of her mother.
Both the couple’s son and daughter agree that their mother tolerated years of domestic violence.
“Gelsomino, who told police he wants to die, now faces second-degree murder charges as he awaits his Feb. 11 arraignment in Miami-Dade County Jail,” said the Daily News.
