A Florida lawyer was arrested Sunday after he killed a man fornicating with his wife while he slept in another room, according to a March 10, 2013 Hillsborough County Sheriff’s media release.
Ralph Lewis Wald, 70, awoke to grab a drink from the kitchen when he spotted his 42-year-old wife, Johnna Flores, having sex with another man in the living room. The report states that Wald then grabbed a gun and returned to the living room and shot 32-year-old Walter Lee Conley several times.
Reports claim that Conley and Flores were formerly roommates and police records show that Flores was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on October 19, 2012. Reports claim that Flores assaulted Conley with a shotgun at their Brandon home and that Wald bailed her out of jail following the alleged assault.
Court records show that Wald and Flores were married just 12 days later in Hillsborough County.
Following the shooting, Wald called 911 and spoke with dispatchers telling them that he just shot a man “fornicating” with his wife. He then reportedly admitted to officer’s post-Miranda that he shot Conley.
Conley did not survive the shooting and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wald is currently being held in the Falkenburg Jail on no bond.
