On April 6, country duo Florida Georgia Line was named "Vocal Duo of the Year" at this year's "Academy of Country Music" (ACM) awards. The duo is comprised of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard. "The ACM" award ceremony, co-hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and their trophy was presented to them by label-mate and global superstar Taylor Swift.

Florida Georgia Line bested out such duos as Big & Rich, Dan + Shay, Love and Theft, as well as Thompson Square.

In their acceptance speech, Tyler remarked, "Wow. You guys are unbelievable. Thank you guys so much. Thank you for believing in us. We gotta thank the Lord for letting us be here as always. We want to thank our label, Scott Borchetta and Jimmy Harnen. We love you guys. Thank you for believing in us."

Brian added, "We want to thank our road crew, our crew back in Nashville, our management, our publicist Jensen, Kevin Neal. Country music is alive and well baby."
