For the second consecutive week, hit country duo Florida Georgia Line have maintained the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, for the week of August 2, with their latest single, "Dirt." It is a track on their forthcoming studio album, which will be out later in the year.
"Dirt" was co-written by such songwriters as Rodney Clawson and Chris Tompkins, and subsequently produced by Joey Moi. It has been well-received by fans and music critics and it shattered sales records, with other 250,000 downloads.
The duo of singers is made up of Brian Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida and Tyler Hubbard from Monroe, Georgia, hence their name. They are signed to the record label, Republic Nashville.
The "Dirt" music video was directed by Nigel Dick. Within two weeks of their music video's release, it has garnered well over four million views on their official YouTube channel. It may be seen by clicking here.
Their breakthrough single "Cruise" is their most successful radio single to date, with multi-platinum certifications and it has spent the most weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, than any other single in the genre's history.
