Florida Georgia Line honored as 'Top New Vocal Duo ' by Academy of Country Music

On Feb. 13, it was announced that Florida Georgia Line were named “Top New Vocal Duo or Group” by the Academy of Country Music (ACM). This marks their first ACM win and they are now in the running for “New Artist of the Year, along with such fellow country artists Brantley Gilbert and Jana Kramer. The duo is comprised of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and they are signed to Republic Nashville.

According to Brian Kelley, he remarked in a press statement, “We used to tell each other how fun it would be one day to actually attend an awards show.” “With that said, we never dreamed we would win an award or receive multiple nomination. This is an unbelievable honor.”

Fellow bandmate Tyler Hubbard added, “Thank you to our fans for letting us play for you out on the road and giving back in such a cool way. This award and these nominations couldn’t have happened without you.

To find out if Florida Georgia Line will win, tune in to watch the ACM awards on April 7 on CBS.
