A goal from Alessandro Florenzi in the 91st minute gave AS Roma the victory in round 29 of Serie A against Torino on Tuesday. The victory secured Roma in second place with nine points of income on Napoli, who is in third, and reaffirmed a shot of the title in the Italian soccer league.

As reported by ESPN Deportes, Roma triumphed over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome
with a score of 2-1.

Roma players and coach Rudi Garcia euphorically celebrated the last goal, which was scored seconds before the ending whistle, and kept faint hopes of winning the title.

AS Roma, still far from the leaders, Juventus FC by 11 points, won a match that could have been lost moments earlier when the visitors scored in the 52nd minute, via Ciro Immobile.

When the meeting between Roma and Torino was about to end at the Olympic stadium in the Italian capital, Florenzi received the ball in the goal from the Ivorian star, Gervinho, who passed with a left, and scored the victory.

Mattia Destro of Roma scored his third goal in the past three days. His goal put Roma in the lead at the 41st minute. Ciro Immobile, with his fourth goal in the two most recent meetings, had equalized for Torino at the start of the second part.

Immobile is the top scorer of the tournament with 17 goals, one more than Argentina striker Carlos Tevez from Juventus. However, Torino is in tenth place of the Serie A table.

AS Roma remains in second place of the Serie A table and still has hopes in winning the title with nine games left.
