Florence, South Carolina sees a boost in downtown traffic

In the last two years, downtown Florence has seen an upswing in new businesses. Renovations of buildings and the demolition of others have been ongoing in order to establish a refreshing place to spend a day. This revitalization has the people of Florence buzzing with excitement.

Long time upscale restaurant, Victor's Bistro settled on West Evans Street and renovated the building to include a fine downtown Hotel. The opening of Hotel Florence and Victor’s Bistro was the signal for others in the local business market to take notice and find that they too could get in on this new project.

Harvest Moon Soapworks, Clay Pot Coffee Shop, Vino’s Palette by Artbug Studio and Dolce Vita Chocolate & Wine Tasting Room are just a few of the shops that have chosen to get in on the action in the Historic District of Florence, South Carolina.

With the completion of The Florence Museum, this is one small city that is beginning to see the light. A short stroll through the downtown area will take you to the Francis Marion Performing Center or the Florence Little Theatre. After the performance you can indulge in some good food in several of the restaurants in the area. There are many outdoor events throughout the year in downtown Florence that will keep you coming back for more.
