The Town of Florence Town Council will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Florence Town Hall, which is located at 775 North Main Street. An agenda may be found online at the Town of Florence website. The public is welcome to attend.

Multiple Softball Leagues Forming Now -- Deadline is Sept 11th
The Town of Florence Parks and Recreation is organizing three softball leagues for your enjoyment. Registrations are now being accepted for a co-ed softball league, a men's league and a women's league. The deadline to register for any of the leagues is Friday, September 11th.
The co-ed softball league is set to begin on September 23, with games being held at Heritage Park every Wednesday night. There is a requirement of 5 males and 5 females per team. No more than 10 teams can register. An informational coach's meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 at 6:00pm at the Parks and Recreation Office, located at 133 N. Main Street.
In addition to the co-ed softball league, registrations are now being accepted for a men's league and a women's league. The men compete against the men and the women compete against the women. These leagues are set to begin on Friday, September 25 with games being held at Heritage Park every Friday night. There is a limit of 6 teams per league. An informational coach's meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 at 5:30pm at the Parks and Recreation office, located at 133 N. Main Street.
The fee to register for any of these leagues is $200 per team. The registration fee must be paid no later than Friday, September 11.
