Thunderstorms with damaging wind, large hail and flooding rain are likely Tuesday and Wednesday as a strong disturbance travels across the Great Lakes. The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk for severe weather across most of Lower Michigan for Tuesday and Wednesday. Damaging wind would be the primary threat but large hail is also possible.
This disturbance has the potential to bring heavy rain to West Michigan. Some locations could receive more than four inches this week.
Part of this disturbance stays parked across the region right into the weekend. Waves on energy moving into the area will keep the wet weather around.
See the attached slideshow for more on the thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.
