As part of their ninth annual Green 17 Tour, starting in Grand Rapids on Jan. 24, Celtic punk rockers Flogging Molly will play at The Fillmore Detroit on Jan. 25.
If you’ve ever seen the movie P.S. I Love You you’ve heard one of their softer tunes, “If I Ever Leave This World Alive.” Or maybe you’ve seen Leap Year and heard “Within A Mile Of Home.”
The band has been around since the late 90s but their live show has done nothing but get better and is what most call legendary. The energy is insane, on stage and in the crowd, and there will most certainly be moshing!
Flogging Molly steps away from the norm with instruments like the accordion, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and tin whistle. Fans old and new clearly love it; it definitely keeps things exciting. You won’t ever leave a Flogging Molly show thinking “well that was boring.”
The band will be touring on the heels of their most recent album “Speed of Darkness.”
Make sure you catch Flogging Molly at The Fillmore on Jan. 25!
