Float On Yoga-Pursuing Inner Peace on a Paddleboard

See also

From now until the early fall, yogis and adventurers alike can test their balance and inner harmony on a paddleboard on Lake Lewisville or Grapevine Lake. Float On Yoga, the first paddleboard yoga site in Texas, is owned and run by Nato Tailford, and offers the chance to enjoy the pristine view of the water, the sun, and the sky, through a twisted, posed and even upside-down state of mind.

Float On Yoga is not in the least bit watered down. Poses rank high up with any other yoga course including Warrior Pose and headstands and shoulder-stands with accommodations made for those who might request them. Nato brings the calm with her yoga background and gymnastics instruction experience, walking her students through class with ease, whether or not they have done yoga or paddling before.

For $20, you can hold a board in a regular five person class, but smaller group classes and private classes are also available. Nato plans on holding classes at both Lewisville and Grapevine locations throughout the season with times varying depending on the heat. This water sport is catching on throughout the country keeping classes full, so check in advance on Float On Yoga's website or Facebook for updates and class times, and challenge yourself on the water in an entirely different and exhilarating way.
